Duke Vincentio has never had the taste for power, and it shows. Laws are more of a loose guideline at this point, and the gap between the virtuous upper class and the ravaged, overlooked and downtrodden masses has never been greater.

When Vienna's "Duke of Dark Corners" suddenly vanishes, leaving power in the hands of the Puritanical Angelo, her substitute will turn lives upside down, testing the limits of virtue, vice, and corruption.
